This policy explains how NWA Group Pty Ltd (National Wealth Advisory), ABN 17 638 469 495 (we, us, our) handles personal information. It applies to our websites, including nationalwealthadvisory.com.au, and to other websites we own or operate where this policy is displayed.
We aim to manage personal information in an open and transparent way and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.

Where disclosed at the point of collection or otherwise consented to, we may also provide your contact details to relevant referral or marketing partners for those purposes.
You can opt out of direct marketing at any time. Electronic marketing communications will include a simple opt-out mechanism where required. We will action valid opt-out requests within a reasonable period and will not charge you for making the request.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from contacting you where reasonably necessary to respond to an existing enquiry, provide a service you have requested, or comply with legal obligations.
11. Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

We aim to respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. There is no charge for making an access or correction request. Where permitted by law, we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of providing access, and we will tell you about any proposed fee before proceeding.
If we refuse an access or correction request, where required we will give you written reasons and information about available complaint mechanisms.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information or breached applicable privacy obligations, please contact us so that we can investigate your concerns.

Step 2 — we investigate. We will acknowledge and investigate your complaint and aim to provide a written response within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. If we need more time, we will let you know.
Step 3 — escalate if you are not satisfied. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to lodge a privacy complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):

13. Data breaches
We maintain processes for identifying, assessing and responding to actual or suspected data breaches.
Where a breach is an eligible data breach under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, we will take the steps required by law, which may include notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
